Overdose Lifeline will mark Overdose Awareness Day on Aug. 31 with a series of community events in Indy, honoring lives lost to overdose and raising awareness about the ongoing crisis.

At 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 24, Overdose Lifeline will place Overdose Awareness Day ribbons in the yard of the organization’s office. These ribbons can be customized to honor loved ones.&
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the organization’s block party will be at the Indiana InterChurch Center. The family-friendly event will feature live music, a kids’ corner and food trucks.
Overdose Lifeline will honor lives lost with a display of photos at the Indiana State Museum from 6-8 p.m. on Aug. 25. The evening will include a candlelight vigil followed by a light meal.&
