Westside Gunn has dropped his latest project 11, which is dedicated to two of his closest friends — one of whom is no longer here.
Continuing his tradition of releasing new music on Halloween, the EP clocks in at five songs and is produced entirely by Griselda producer Denny Laflare with zero guest features.

After its midnight release, the Buffalo, New York native shared a few words on Instagram about what the project means to him.
“I do wanna say this, it’s Hard for me to listen to it, I’ve cried every single time I’ve played it,” he wrote. “I made it all [in] one day just back to back after speaking to SLY [Green] from prison, hearing Inf voice callin me, hearing [Keisha] Plum gave me the chills bc she’s who called me to tell me, and knowing SLY still got life.”

He added: “This was from my heart, I really hope y’all enjoy my ART piece.”
In addition to Sly Green, a Buffalo drug kingpin who was sentenced to over 100 years in prison back in 1994, 11 is dedicated to Westside Gunn’s close friend Big Dump who died earlier this year.
