The decor now mirrors the opulent aesthetics of Trump Tower and Mar-a-Lago, with walls, doors, and the fireplace adorned with lavish gold accents. Newsweek disclosed that traditional picture frames were replaced with ornate gilded designs, and the fireplace mantle flaunts bright embellishments, while gold curtains remain from Joe Biden's term.As images of the transformed office circulated online, responses flooded in, many expressing discontent. Adam Parkhomenko, a Democratic strategist, remarked, "He’s destroying the country and the White House," while critics likened the decor to a misguided Hobby Lobby project. The White House will also see a 90,000-square-foot ballroom addition starting in September 2025, with the commitment to preserving the historical legacy amid ongoing modifications.
