A woman from Detroit was reportedly shot and killed at a local hospital by her ex-husband, from whom she had sought protection, according to WXYZ. Latricia Green initially sought a personal protection order (PPO) against her ex-spouse, Mario Green, on June 13 at the Wayne County Circuit Court. In her request, she recounted instances of stalking, threatening phone calls to her workplace, and an attempted unauthorized entry into her office. The court denied her initial plea. On July 20, Latricia filed yet again, describing a disturbing intensification of his actions, including breaking into her vehicle, vandalizing her belongings, and following her multiple times. She expressed her fears about the judicial system's failures, stating she felt increasingly unsafe. The PPO was finally granted on July 21; however, it was never served to Mario. Tragically, on August 22, he confronted Latricia at Henry Ford Hospital, fatally shooting her during an argument. He was arrested the following day without resistance.
