Woman Sustains Entire Body Burns In Vieux Fort Kitchen Fire

A woman sustained burns to her entire body in an early morning fire at a Vieux Fort hotel kitchen. A Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) release said emergency personnel from the Vieux Fort and Crash Fire Stations responded after receiving a call for assistance at about 5:58 am on Sunday. They found the 33-year-old victim’s injuries included burns to the face, back, arms and legs. After administering emergency care, the responders transported her to a medical facility for further medical attention. Firefighters were able to contain and extinguish the hotel kitchen fire.
