From WSSUrams.com   The Winston-Salem State University women’s indoor track and field team finished second at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Indoor Championships at JDL in Winston-Salem.  Fayetteville State won the event with 150 points. The Rams finished with 135, while Claflin placed third with 90.  Key Moments  Elicia Bryant was named the CIAA Track Athlete of the Year after scoring 22 individual points. Several Rams reached the podium during the two-day event:  Brianna Benloss placed third in the 60-meter finals with a time of 7.70.  Charnessa Reid won the 60-meter hurdles in 8.47.  Layla Simpson claimed the pentathlon title with 3,143 points.  The 4×400-meter relay team (Daijion Lee, Asheika Smith, Simone Kelly, Olivia Cosby) finished first in 3:50.37.  How It Happened  Simpson finished seventh in the 60-meter hurdles finals (8.99).  Smith ran a season-best 25.09 in the 200-meter finals to finish fourth. Benloss placed fifth (25.36), Cosby recorded a season-best 25.40 to finish sixth, and Lee set a personal record (PR) of 25.47 to finish eighth.  Cosby ran a season-best 56.55 to place third in the 400-meter finals. Smith finished fifth (56.89), and Lee set a PR of 57.79 to place sixth.  Bryant finished second in the 800-meter finals...
