“You’ll be fine bro”: LL Cool J extends support to Drake post Kendrick Lamar beef, weighs in on rap feud culture

LL Cool J recently spoke about the Drake-Kendrick Lamar beef, while promoting his new album The FORCE, in a conversation with Charlamagne Tha God. Cool J, who had been involved in quite a few rap battles over the years, expressed sympathy for the Canadian rapper. In the interview released on July 12 on Charlamagne’s YouTube channel, he said:
“You’ll be fine, bro. Don’t even trip. You just don’t take it personal… You can’t be overly sensitive.”
He further spoke about the much popular Kendrick Lamar’s track Not Like Us, during the interview. He said:
“That ‘Not Like Us’ s**t, that s**t’s torture for a m****rf****r. Ah s**t, little kids singing to it. You know that s**t’s bananas.”
Cool J further added,
“I been there, I know it. It can be upsetting… But you gotta control that.”
It could be concluded that LL Cool J seemingly asked Drake to not take things that personally in a rap feud.
