Jean Claude Emmanuel and Jeanille Williams starred for their respective teams, whilst Kyle Stephen, Darjhan Sammy, and Evan Gilbert all put their hands up as the national team continued its preparation for the Windward Islands WINLOTT Under-15 Championships, which will be played in Saint Lucia next month.
Two 40-over trial matches were played at the Gros Islet Playing Field this past weekend. In the first, reduced to 32 overs, Team Williams made 193-8. Stephen made 40, Hervon Jn Charles 21 not out, Williams 20, Curdin Jones 17, Garvey Serieux 16, and Cyprani Norville 12. Darjhan Sammy took 3-45, and Liam Stevens 2-9.
In reply, captain Emmanuel led the way for his team with a half-century, but they could only get to 120 all out in 24.4 overs. Emmanuel hit 63 with seven fours and four sixes. Daniel Lorde was the only other batsman to reach double figures with 13. Williams bagged 5-13, Tristan Wilson 3-17, Samuel Jean 2-7, and Troy Prospere 2-21.
On Sunday, Emmanuel’s team made 164 with 41 from Kaleb Charles , 20 from Terrel Charlery, 18 from Nicken Justin, and 12 from Daniel Lorde. Williams took 5-18, Tristan Wilson 2-9, Samuel Jean 2-14, and Cyprani Norville 2-33....
