(Nashville, Tenn.) Nashville’s Jazz station, WFSK-FM kicks off the Fall Fund Drive with its Annual 48-Hour Radiothon, beginning Friday, October 4th to Sunday, October 6th. The station sets up a drive-thru giving area with a live remote broadcast from our parking at W.E.B. DuBois Hall on the Fisk campus. (corner of D. B. Todd & Jackson Streets)
From 9:00 am to 6:00 pm both Friday, October 4th and Saturday, October 5th we raise funds from the community to keep the music playing at WFSK, our city’s 51-year-old HBCU FCC licensed radio station.& We’re one of less than 30 HBCU radio stations in the United States.& It’s an African American Public Radio (AAPR) station, Tennessee’s only.& WFSK defrays the cost of operation with Donors, Underwriters and Sponsors.& &
