While most adults only get mild symptoms when contracting the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), the same can’t be said of older adults. According to the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC), adults over the age of 60 should be particularly concerned when they have RSV. In previous years, there have been hundreds of hospital admissions of persons over 75 per 100,000 and those who were in their 60s weren’t far behind.
