The grand conclusion of the Lucian Carnival is upon us. Anticipation is building as over 7,000 festively clad participants are set to inundate the streets of Castries this Monday and Tuesday, heralding the vibrant Parade of the Bands that will culminate the 2025 celebrations with a dazzling display. This two-day explosion of joy follows weeks of spirited events, including Junior Carnival activities, national contests, and a plethora of lively fetes and boat rides. The excitement kicks off at 4 a.m. on Monday with J’ouvert, followed by the official parade starting at 10 a.m., featuring ten dynamic costume bands. With bands such as Xuvo Carnival Band and Fuzion Mas among others, the parade route begins at Choc Roundabout, proceeding south toward Vigie Roundabout and further into the city. The Carnival Planning and Management Committee is collaborating with the Royal Saint Lucia Police, Fire Service, and Health Ministry to ensure a safe experience, with medical tents strategically positioned along the route. Participants are encouraged to embrace the festivities respectfully and safely.
