Yet, a new restaurant has emerged in Sacramento, unveiling lesser-known Liberian dishes to the community. AfroEatz, nestled in Midtown Sacramento at 1725 I St, was spearheaded by Pinky Mayson, a Liberian immigrant. Her vision: to provide an authentic taste of her homeland while sharing Liberia's culinary legacy with Sacramento's eclectic population. Among the standout offerings is the renowned Liberian jollof rice, served with chicken wings. Mayson emphasizes the uniqueness of Liberian cuisine, stating that once tasted, it captivates patrons. Initially launched five years ago via a ghost kitchen for delivery, AfroEatz accumulated a loyal following before opening its doors on July 26, Liberian Independence Day. The inviting ambiance showcases vibrant decor, encouraging communal dining reminiscent of Liberian traditions, where meals are joyfully shared among friends.
