Travelers journeying to and from Saint Lucia and other Caribbean locales will benefit from significantly reduced airport service charges. Starting June 1, the fee for regional commercial flights has been slashed from EC$68 to EC$34, enhancing affordability for Caribbean explorers. This initiative, approved by Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre through a Statutory Instrument, will be in effect for six months, concluding on December 31, 2025. Officials assert that this reduction aims to alleviate financial stress for passengers and encourages stronger regional travel, complementing CARICOM’s mission for enhanced connectivity. "The decreased airport service charge will support thousands of travelers each week," stated a government representative.
