Currently, Republican efforts aim to strip health insurance from 13.7 million individuals to benefit the wealthy. Amidst these issues, we see alarming trends toward authoritarianism fueled by Trump’s administration, including overstepping Congress’s authority and attacking independent media. To counter this alarming trajectory, a robust coalition of progressive democrats must assert the primacy of democracy and commitment to social and economic justice. Through concerted grassroots activism, we can safeguard our democratic values.
