The Uganda National Cultural Centre (UNCC) has welcomed its newly appointed board members, who were recently sworn in at the Ministry of Gender, Labour, and Social Development.

Following Cabinet approval, the board will now commence its duties for the next three years.
The previous board’s mandate had expired in June last year, prompting the need for the appointment of fresh members to steer the affairs of the cultural institution.
Leading the newly constituted board is Prof. Okaka Opio, who assumes the role of Chairperson, while renowned singer Phina Mugerwa has been appointed as the Vice Chairperson.
The board also includes Hannington Bugingo, Lillian Mbabazi, Dr. Richard Komakech, and musicians Joseph Mayanja (popularly known as Chameleon) and Moses Ssali, better known by his stage name Bebe Cool. Juliana Naumo completes the list of appointed members.
