Mirundi is perhaps best remembered for his 12-year tenure as the presidential press secretary, during which he became a notable figure for his strong defense of government policies. In 2009, he supported the government’s decision during protests over the Kabaka’s denied visit to Kayunga, a move that further established his stance on national issues. Beyond his political career, Mirundi was a prolific author, penning numerous books that explored Uganda’s political landscape, governance, and media.
