Following an incident during the first half of a matchup against Notre Dame, Texas A&M safety Bryce Anderson was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital due to mobility issues. Thankfully, he is reportedly regaining sensation in his limbs. "We’re still hoping for Bryce," stated coach Mike Elko in a press conference after the Aggies triumphed over the Fighting Irish, 41–40. "Currently, things are looking positive. We still have several diagnostic tests to conduct, but initial results are encouraging. Our prayers remain focused on him for a successful recovery." The injury occurred with just 55 seconds left in the half when Anderson collided with Notre Dame tight end Eli Raridon during a 25-yard completion. Medical personnel promptly secured Anderson’s neck for approximately ten minutes as teammates provided support. As he exited the field, the Beaumont, Texas senior gave a thumbs-up to cheering spectators. Notably, Anderson recorded four tackles in the game.
