On October 21, California Connects Regional, a series of statewide gatherings organized by the Governor’s Office of Community Partnerships and Strategic Communications (OCPSC), arrived in Sacramento. This event is part of an eight-city initiative aimed at promoting collaboration and service among communities across California while supporting local organizations impacting their constituents.Taking place at the Hilton Arden West Sacramento hotel, this Sacramento convening united community leaders, state representatives, and local allies to enhance regional collaboration and optimize access to state resources.California Chief Service Officer Josh Fryday emphasized the vital role of this tour. "As Washington, D.C. falls short, California is stepping up to ensure our communities are informed about resources for those facing food insecurity," he stated affirmatively. Moreover, approximately $80 million has been earmarked for this collaborative mission.The series continues through various cities, culminating in Fresno on November 18.
