(Special to The Dallas Examiner) – With inflation continuing to take its toll on families, the need for food assistance remains high. Center Table launched in May 2020 to address the difficult times many families have faced since the onset of the pandemic. Since then, Center Table events have provided more than 32,000 meals and 2 million pounds of food to families and households.This year, as families are gear up for Thanksgiving, the Center Table Fall Harvest food distribution event will be held Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center, located at 1800 Bonnie View Road.Free and open to the public, the drive-through event will provide hundreds of families with Thanksgiving meals – each box contains servings for 4 to 6 people – complete with a whole turkey or two whole chickens, three sides, two cans of cranberry sauce, dessert and a one-gallon drink or case of water along with containers to warm the food in the microwave or oven. Meals are available on a first come first served basis. There is no registration required for the mobile pantry event.In light of children being out of school the entire holiday week, this year...
