Chicago's Small Black Businesses: Join the 'Spend in the Black' Event on the South Side

On Saturday, 75th Street and King Drive in Chicago blossomed into a vibrant "Black Wall Street," as “Bullseye: Spend in the Black – Resurrecting the Black Dollar” brought together over 100 small enterprises. This initiative aimed to elevate Black economic influence by encouraging consumers to support local businesses over major retailers. Ald. William Hall (6th) and Rev. Charlie Dates of Salem Baptist Church co-organized the event, emphasizing community revenue as vital to sustaining Chicago’s economic future. "This is what built Chicago," Hall stated confidently.
