Chicago Fashion Designer Barbara Bates to Host Annual Show for Breast Cancer Awareness

World renowned fashion designer Barbara Bates will host her annual Breast Cancer Awareness show, Walking the Runway for Hope, on October 19, 2024 with a VIP Cocktail Reception at 4:00 p.m. The fashion show will be from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Mount Sinai Hospital in support of the Barbara Bates Imaging Center, located at 1500 S. Fairfield. The show will be hosted by Sharaun, a former America’s Next Top Model from cycle 11 in 2008, who also advocates for women’s wellness. More than half of the models in the fashion show are breast cancer survivors. As a breast cancer survivor, Bates is personally invested in Breast Cancer Awareness, education and resources for families in Chicago. “My survival story is a part of my journey as a designer,” said Bates. “I hope to inspire women who may be diagnosed with breast cancer or survivors of breast cancer to fight that good fight, and look beautiful while doing it.” Bates is best known for her urban and cutting edge designs....
