Minnesota Lynx Outlast Chicago Sky as Angel Reese Extends Streak

The Chicago Sky faced their 14th defeat of the season against the dominant Minnesota Lynx at Wintrust Arena on Monday night. Despite the disparity in records, both teams exhibited a closely contested matchup. Angel Reese maintained her stellar performance from their previous game, achieving her ninth consecutive double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. Rachel Banham was the only other starter to surpass ten points, contributing 15, while Rebecca Allen added ten off the bench. The first half saw both teams swapping leads, yet the Lynx seized control in the third quarter. Napheesa Collier led with 29 points, complemented by Courtney Williams' 18 points and Kayla McBride's 17. Following a three-pointer by Carleton, the Lynx established a 47-46 edge and never looked back, outscoring the Sky 47-32 in the second half, highlighted by 14 steals and six blocks. The Sky's 18 turnovers allowed Minnesota to capitalize, resulting in 24 points. With this loss, Chicago now stands at 7-14, while the Lynx secure their top position at 19-4. The Sky’s next challenge comes against the Atlanta Dream.
