CITY Block Party celebrates Juneteenth with St. Louis black-owned businesses

ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis CITY Block Party on June 22 will spotlight local Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs in honor of Juneteenth. The pregame celebration will take place from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., during which visitors can shop from a variety of vendors, including crafters, writers, health and fitness enthusiasts, and more. There will also be live entertainment from Stazi, James Lion, and Aida Ade, as well as local food and drinks, including offerings from local Black-owned CITY Flavor food partner Steve’s Hot Dogs. St. Louis suburb named among 25 cities ‘where the ultra-wealthy live’ The featured Black-owned businesses include: Author Michael Anderson: A St. Louis-based writer and blogger, Michael Anderson is known for his best-selling Zoey Lyndon children’s book series, which inspires young girls to pursue careers in STEM fields. Creators Corner: Located in Florissant, Creators Corner specializes in high-quality yarn, craft supplies, and handmade crochet products. Qavah Spaces: This business offers a sanctuary for individuals to recharge and reconnect, featuring the “Reflections” notebook for jotting down thoughts and aspirations.
