Former Cincinnati Christian University and Wright State Lake campus Coach and recruiting coordinator Montaous Walton will be heading to the Twin Cities to join Head Coach Jim Weyandt’s staff at Hamline University, a prestigious University in St. Paul,& Minnesota.&
Hamline Baseball is a competitive program in the MIAC (Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Association). Walton returns home to the Midwest after he had success in the South at Rust College. He helped the Bearcats reach the College World Series in 2023 and the conference championship in the GCAC last season. He also became a 2023 regular. After Rust College, Walton also spent time at Division 1 Mississippi Valley State University under Coach CJ Bilbrey in the SWAC conference.&
Known as a recruiting machine around college baseball, Walton is humble and hardworking and hopes to win multiple championships in the Midwest. As for the Hamline University baseball staff, this is a huge deal, as Walton has Division 1 experience, a winning mentality, and pedigree in helping coach Jim Weyandt’s baseball staff win a title!
