New Jersey Cops Allegedly Beat Man And Put His Head In A Bag While Inside Police Car

A New Jersey resident, Gregory Williams, has lodged a federal civil rights suit against Jersey City, its police department, and several officers, alleging an unwarranted and violent confrontation outside Halftime Bar & Grill two years ago. According to the lawsuit, filed in 2023, Williams was accosted by an aggressive female officer who demanded he move his vehicle. After complying, he was blocked by a male officer at the entrance. Moments later, he was forcefully subdued by four officers, assaulted, and temporarily lost consciousness from a punch.
