Crime Stats Still Show a Decline Since 2020

The annual figures for 2023,& released last month, show a decline in violent crime since 2020 — the last year of former President Donald Trump’s administration. In 2020, the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a spike in violent crime overall, due to increases in murders and aggravated assaults.
