Delaware State University Leader Jarso Maley Jallah Appointed Minister of Education for Liberia

Jarso Maley Jallah, associate vice president of student success at historically Black Delaware State University, has been appointed Minister of Education for Liberia, her native country. Prior to her tenure with Delaware State University, Dr. Jallah held positions with the Community College of Rhode Island and the University of Rhode Island. She began her career with Delaware State University in 2012 as director of academic achievement for the College of Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Technology. In 2016 she returned to Liberia to serve as deputy director general for training and manpower development at the Liberian Institute for Public Administration. She remained in that role for two years before ultimately returning to Delaware State University in 2019 as executive director of advisement for the Office of Student Success.
