NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Fisk University is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Sekou Franklin, a distinguished scholar, community activist, and author, as the new Executive Director of the John Lewis Center for Social Justice. Named in honor of the late Congressman and Fisk alumnus, the center was founded in 2019 to promote social justice, a commitment Lewis exemplified throughout his life, representing a cornerstone of Fisk's mission."Dr. Franklin's extensive knowledge and expertise in scholarly activism, civil rights, and policy make him an exceptional addition to Fisk," stated Dr. Agenia W.
