DJ Funkmaster Flex Gives Free Concert Saturday Night In Carteret

CARTERET, NJ — The annual Carteret music festival and charity carnival will kick off Wednesday night, Sept. 18 and run through Sept. 21 in Carteret Park.
New York City DJ Funkmaster Flex is the top-billed performer Saturday night. He will put on a free concert Saturday night, open to all.

48th annual Ethnic Day celebration on Saturday, Sept. 21, celebrating the fact that Carteret is one of the most ethnically diverse towns in Central Jersey. This year’s headliner for Ethnic Day is DJ Funkmaster Flex, a well-known DJ and rapper from New York and host of the first-ever hip-hop show on Hot 97 radio station, which he still airs today. In the past, Shaggy, Spin Doctors, C&C Music Factory, Smash Mouth and the Gin Blossoms have all performed at Carteret’s Ethnic Day.
The 20th annual Classic Car Show this Sunday, Sept. 22, also in Carteret Park.
Lots of rides, games, food, more music and other family fun throughout.
