A severe confrontation occurred at a North Carolina grocery store, resulting in one man sustaining gunshot injuries following a dispute centered on a turkey. The incident unfolded at a Food Lion in High Point on November 13, conveniently timed just weeks before Thanksgiving. According to the local police, they responded to gunfire reports and discovered a man with a gunshot wound to the arm upon arrival. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital.Investigations revealed that the conflict began between a customer and a store employee regarding a turkey. When another shopper intervened, chaos erupted between the two men. Cellphone footage obtained by WXII captured the brawl near the checkout, with voices from onlookers urging, “Put the gun down!” and asking for police help. After a brief separation, one man retrieved a firearm and engaged in a gunfight with the other outside, resulting in injuries to the latter. Authorities charged both men, identified as 64-year-old Mark Foye and 55-year-old Antonio Johnson, with offenses related to public endangerment and simple affray.
