EMILYs List Welcomes Dr. Glenda Baskin Glover To Its Influential National Leadership Team

Dr. Glenda Baskin Glover, a prominent educator, business executive, and advocate for equality, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of EMILY's List, a national organization focused on electing women to public office and nurturing diverse leadership opportunities. Her selection stems from her exceptional leadership in civic and political engagement, steadfast dedication to academic excellence, and impactful contributions to student and institutional advancement. As the eighth president of Tennessee State University (2013-2024), Dr. Glover broke barriers as the first woman to hold the position. During her tenure, she achieved record enrollment, expanded academic programs, and secured unprecedented levels of funding. Notably, TSU's endowment soared from $45 million to over $110 million. Additionally, she elevated TSU's research classification from R3 to R2, steering it toward R1 status.Dr. Glover, a rare African American woman possessing a Ph.D., CPA, and JD, is a pivotal figure on various boards, contributing her expertise in governance.
