Recently, a series of videos featuring interactions between the public and law enforcement have emerged on social media, gaining significant attention. These clips often showcase altercations between vehicle operators and police during traffic stops, with some drivers asserting their knowledge of “their rights,” while officers can be heard using harsh language. Alleged violations include driving on “bald tyres” and having tinted windows—infraction details revealed by St Lucia Times which typically don't warrant arrests or impounding vehicles.

The increasing prevalence of these viral videos has overshadowed the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force’s commendable initiatives, highlighting a pressing need for enhanced public engagement, service training, and stress management among officers, while the silence from civil society organizations remains alarming.
