Crystal Sanders of Emory University Earns Dual Honors for Her Groundbreaking Book on Graduate Education in the Jim Crow Era

Crystal R. Sanders, an associate professor of African American studies at Emory University, has garnered two significant accolades for her upcoming book, *A Forgotten Migration: Black Southerners, Segregation Scholarships, and the Debt Owed to Public HBCUs* (University of North Carolina Press, 2024). She received the 2025 Pauli Murray Book Prize from the African American Intellectual History Society and the 2025 Outstanding Publication Award from SIG 168 of the American Educational Research Association.
