The Tomorrow’s Innovators Accelerator (TIA), organized by the community group Sactown Makers and financed by the Sacramento Innovation Grant Program, will culminate in a showcase and business pitch competition on Thursday, October 30, from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at Aggie Square (4480 2nd Ave.).During this event, participants will reveal how their business strategies and product development have influenced their post-program endeavors. For many entrepreneurs, this will mark their first public introduction of their products and ideas.Each participant will deliver a compelling business pitch to a panel of experts from Sacramento's technology and entrepreneurship sectors. The public can attend for free, with RSVP, to support the entrepreneurs and cast votes for the Audience Favorite Award.“Experiencing their journeys and seeing their innovative ideas come to life is exhilarating,” noted Aubree Taylor, project manager with the City’s Office of Innovation and Economic Development. “This grant aims to facilitate such experiences for both entrepreneurs and the community.” TIA equips aspiring entrepreneurs with essential skills and confidence throughout a 14-week program, which includes learning to assemble and utilize 3D printers to create items that address local challenges, as highlighted by program instructor Alan Ware.
