Eskenazi to utilize GUIDE model for dementia care 

Eskenazi Health is one of the first health systems in the country to utilize the new Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience (GUIDE) model for dementia care.& The GUIDE model increases access to high-quality care by addressing the needs of unpaid caregivers of those living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia.& Caring for those with dementia can cause significant out-of-pocket costs and financial strain, which GUIDE helps to mitigate.& The model was announced last year by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Innovation center, who worked, in part, with providers at Eskenazi Health to guide the payment model.& Eskenazi will be one of the first health systems in the country to implement the GUIDE payment plan.
