Virginia Cops Accuse Black Man of Drug Deal After He Simply Gave a Stranger a Ride

A traffic encounter in Norfolk, Virginia, escalated when police pulled over a Black driver who was merely offering a friend a ride home. Captured on cellphone footage, the driver remained calm despite the tense situation and successfully departed, visibly frustrated but unharmed. The video, shared on The Freeman Channel's YouTube page, details the incident that transpired after the driver picked up two individuals outside Ziggy's restaurant. Although initially declining a ride, he accepted after they offered him money. Meanwhile, officers claimed they misinterpreted the interaction as a drug deal.During the stop, officers interrogated the driver and ordered him to exit the vehicle. Despite his protests for clarity regarding the supposed crime, one officer referenced the Supreme Court case Pennsylvania v. Mimms to justify their actions.
