A second-generation Saint Lucian citizen is hoping to follow in her father’s footsteps, and represent the nation in sports. But first, she’s off to college.
Khalia-Leigh James is an outstanding young volleyball player, entering her senior year at high school in the United States. And she is already preparing for the next stage of her journey.
Khalia-Leigh is taking her talents to Middle Tennessee State University in 2025, after being heavily recruited in her junior year. This September, the 6’2” middle blocker will play her final season at Massillon Jackson High School in Ohio, where she is playing one year up.
Aged 16, she plays with the 17-year-olds, and is also a lynchpin for her club, Infinity 17’s, one of the top club teams nationwide.
Infinity 17’s is a powerhouse, currently ranked 2nd in the Ohio Valley Region (OVR) and 34th nationally. With players like James, they are set to make a strong showing on the national stage.
