Highland Council has said it is ‘extremely disappointing’ to see another incidence of vandalism at The Gathering Place. It is unclear when the incident took place at the public art piece beside the River Ness. A Highland Council spokesperson said: “Graffiti removal is a waste of tax payers money and diverts much-stretched resources from council works and services. “The Council will be instructing a specialist stone restoration company to address the issue as quickly as possible. The feature is attracting thousands of people a year who come especially to the Riverside, to experience the Vista that it gives across the river and the city.” Do you want to respond to this article?
