On September 4, the Indiana Fever celebrated a significant milestone with the groundbreaking of a $78 million sports performance center tailored for its WNBA players. This impressive three-story facility, spanning 108,000 square feet, is set to debut before the 2027 season in downtown Indianapolis.Specifically designed for female athletes, the center will house two technologically equipped practice courts, cutting-edge strength and conditioning areas, and extensive recovery amenities such as hydrotherapy pools, infrared therapy, and luxurious wellness suites.Additional features will include wellness spaces, a fully equipped kitchen, and an outdoor courtyard, along with player-centric offerings like podcast studios, a hair and nail salon, and a designated childcare zone with family lounges.Fever president Kelly Krauskopf proclaimed this venture as a pioneering investment for women in sports, with head coach Stephanie White affirming its importance in affirming the value of athletes.
