Courtney Phillips has been appointed vice president of health affairs and chief health officer at Louisiana State University. She has held numerous leadership positions in the healthcare field, including secretary of the Louisiana Department of Health. Dr. Phillips received her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and master’s degree in public administration from Louisiana State University. She holds a Ph.D. in public policy from historically Black Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Pamela Richardson has been named director of parental relations for alumni affairs at Hampton University, a historically Black university in Virginia. She most recently served as the university’s director of marketing for athletics. Richardson is a summa cum laude graduate of Hampton University where she majored in mass media arts. Shani L. Crayton has been selected as the permanent executive director of strategic communications and marketing at historically Black Alabama State University. She was named interim executive director last month. Prior to her new appointment, she served as the university’s director of brand and marketing. Crayton received her bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in education from Alabama State University. James T.
