Vehicle Hits Pedestrian In Vieux Fort

A female pedestrian sustained injuries when a vehicle hit her Friday on Clarke Street, Vieux Fort.
After the incident, the 21-year-old victim complained of pain in her lower extremities.
However, the injuries were deemed to be non-life-threatening.
The Vieux Fort Fire Station dispatched an ambulance after learning of the incident at about 1:07 pm, conveying the patient to St. Jude Hospital.
Saint Lucia has recently witnessed a spate of road incidents despite the authorities’ appeals for greater road safety awareness.
So far for the year, the Island has recorded six road fatalities.
