Marcus Ward has been promoted to senior vice president of institutional advancement. He currently serves as vice president of institutional advancement and director of the Alcorn State University Foundation, Inc. Over the past 15 years, his leadership has resulted in a 450 percent growth rate in assets and funds for the HBCU. Dr. Ward is an alumnus of Alcorn State University, where he majored in political science. He holds a master’s degree in public administration from Syracuse University in New York and a doctorate in higher education leadership from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. Edward Rice II has been named vice president of student affairs and enrollment management. He has over three decades of higher education experience, including service as vice president of student services and enrollment at Mississippi Delta Community College and as vice chancellor for student services and enrollment management at Southern Arkansas University Tech. After receiving his associate’s degree at Mississippi Delta Community College, Dr. Rice completed his bachelor’s degree in public administration from Mississippi State University.
