The Florin Square Community Development Corp. hosted its fifth annual small business success summit on July 26, providing a platform for entrepreneurs to network and explore untapped resources. Executive Director Aaron Boyce emphasized the initiative’s aim to foster connections, particularly among Black business owners.“The fate of America is tied to the fate of Black America, so we strive to uplift them economically and entrepreneurially,” Boyce shared with The OBSERVER. Keynote speaker Allison Tibbs, author of “The Nourished CEO,” urged entrepreneurs to prioritize their well-being by establishing boundaries and wellness routines tailored to individual needs.Joseph Cordova from the Sacramento Small Business Development Center provided mentorship and specialized training. He acknowledged access to capital as a significant challenge for small businesses, offering personalized support to navigate funding options.
