The 17th edition of Girl's Pillow Talk, a unique day camp tailored for girls aged 7-15 from diverse economic backgrounds, is scheduled for August 1. Organized by the Youth Conflict Resolution Center Inc., this event promises a vibrant, birthday party-themed atmosphere focused on fostering conflict resolution skills and enhancing self-esteem.Participants can look forward to a variety of engaging activities, including arts and crafts, bracelet creations, dance, pillow crafting, affirmations, music, and vision board sessions, each guided by guest speakers. The program includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks.Conversations will be age-appropriate, and an endearing mascot, “the bear,” will facilitate open dialogues among participants. Andrea Clark, the center's president, emphasizes the importance of providing girls with supportive adult figures and effective coping strategies for frustration.This camp creates lasting memories, where every girl receives cake and is celebrated with the traditional “Happy Birthday” song, ensuring each one feels cherished.
