GNL Zamba Warns Against Unwarranted Award Nominations

GNL Zamba has voiced his frustration with the nomination practices of certain awards shows, notably issuing a warning to organizers ahead of the HiPipo Awards scheduled for Friday.
The celebrated Ugandan rapper made it clear that he no longer wants to be nominated for awards unless he actively submits a request for consideration.
In a strongly-worded statement, GNL criticized some awards shows as mere “cheap carbon copies” of the iconic Pearl of Africa Music Awards (PAM Awards), accusing organizers of failing to maintain the standards that would make their events respectable.

According to him, these awards lack the fairness required to gain genuine respect and popularity.
“I have been nominated in the Most Inspirational Song category, but don’t use my brand to promote your sh*t, I will sue you,” GNL said.
He insisted that his brand should not be exploited by award organizers without his consent and emphasized his disapproval of what he sees as subpar awards shows.
