GNL Zamba Warns Against Unwarranted Award Nominations

GNL Zamba has voiced his frustration with the nomination practices of certain awards shows, notably issuing a warning to organizers ahead of the HiPipo Awards scheduled for Friday. The celebrated Ugandan rapper made it clear that he no longer wants to be nominated for awards unless he actively submits a request for consideration. In a strongly-worded statement, GNL criticized some awards shows as mere “cheap carbon copies” of the iconic Pearl of Africa Music Awards (PAM Awards), accusing organizers of failing to maintain the standards that would make their events respectable.
