Saint Lucia Shines at CARIFTA: Athletes Capture Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals

The 52nd CARIFTA Games commenced at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, propelling Saint Lucia into the spotlight with three medals, including a historic gold. The 21-member squad competed in 10 events, showcasing remarkable talent. Jady Emmanuel triumphed in the Under-17 girls' 100m, claiming gold, a first for Saint Lucia, with a time of 11.50 seconds. Naya Jules secured silver in pole vault at 3.00m, while 15-year-old Destinee Cenac earned bronze in high jump with 1.68m. Saint Lucia ranks fifth in the medal standings.
