Books and Prizes Await: IndyPL’s 2025 Summer Reading Starts May 31

The Indianapolis Public Library proudly presents its much-anticipated Summer Reading Program, inviting readers of all ages to “Unearth Imagination.” Set to run from May 31 to August 2, 2025, this program features a variety of paleontology-themed events, offering hands-on workshops, curated reading lists, and fun activities that inspire discovery and creativity.IndyPL CEO Gregory A. Hill highlighted the initiative’s inclusivity, stating, “We provide resources that cultivate a passion for reading across all demographics.” As recognized by the American Library Association, such programs are effective in engaging reluctant readers through incentives, fostering lasting reading habits.Participants can earn points for each hour spent reading, with enticing prizes available, including museum passes and themed gifts.
