Jamaican Fugitive Wanted for Murder in Saint Lucia Arrested in the US, Extradition Looms

Local law enforcement is collaborating with U.S. officials to extradite Jamaican national Orville Andrew Pernell, 32, sought for murder in Saint Lucia. Arrested in Savannah, Georgia, by ICE and ATF agents, Pernell previously escaped custody twice in Jamaica. He awaits extradition to face charges for the murder of Cleus Alfred. After evading capture for five years, he was apprehended in the U.S. on April 4. Pernell also faces charges for illegal weapon possession and will soon confront justice in Saint Lucia.
