According to the summon, a rental agreement was executed between Lilian Mbabazi and The Plaintiff for a monthly rent of Ugx 1,500,000. However, by July 13, 2023, Mbabazi had reportedly failed to settle rental arrears spanning a period of one year and four months. The rental company asserts that despite assurances from Mbabazi to clear the arrears by September 18, 2023, she has not fulfilled her promises. Consequently, The Plaintiff has initiated legal proceedings, demanding that Mbabazi settle the outstanding rental arrears totaling Ugx 16,200,000. In addition to the overdue rent, Mbabazi is also required to cover any accrued interest on the rental fee until the court makes its judgment.
