A man has been detained in relation to the tragic deaths of a mother and her 12-year-old son in Michigan. As reported by PEOPLE, 41-year-old Linda Hill and her son Kardi Jackson were discovered deceased, each suffering severe neck injuries, at their Hazel Park residence on Monday, September 1. On Tuesday, September 2, following the execution of a search warrant, law enforcement officials from Hazel Park and the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office apprehended a 43-year-old suspect hailing from nearby Pontiac, though his identity remains undisclosed. In light of this tragedy, Hill’s sister initiated a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funeral expenses. “Linda was cherished by all who knew her, ever ready to help,” stated L’Keisha Whitfield. Meanwhile, Hill’s 21-year-old son, Demontez, sorrowfully reflected on his brother, conveying disbelief over such a heinous act.
